Recently we've been reviewing some pretty high end graphics cards, and while it's all well and good checking out the £100 plus fair, the real money is made for the manufacturers in the budget, to mid range cards. So, if you're looking at the current generation of ATI's GPUs, and anything with 4 and 8 at the start of the name is too much for you, perhaps the 4670 from HIS is up your street; ...

HIS Radeon HD 4850 IceQ 4 TurboX 512MB review | Posted on: 29/01/2009 @ 8:44
HIS offer a handful of different boards based around AMD's Radeon HD 4850 SKU - Today however we're taking a look at the cream of the crop in the form of the Radeon HD 4850 IceQ 4 TurboX 512MB. With a custom, dual-slot cooling solution and significant core and memory clock speed increases, it should have plenty to offer, so is it a worthwhile consideration for buyers at its particular price point?

Considering how long it took XSR to get it's first high end graphics card review, it's interesting that they are now one of our most oft-reviewed pieces of hardware. Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 GDDR4 512MB review | Posted on: 27/01/2009 @ 8:46
It's been a fair few months since we first took a look at the Radeon HD 4670, courtesy of Sapphire's reference-based offering. Now, this well-known AIB are back with a new spin on this mid-range offering, strapping 512MB of faster GDDR4 memory to the board as well as kitting it out with what promises to be a bigger, quieter cooling solution. Are these changes enough to impress? We take a look.

BIOSTAR Radeon HD4650 256MB GDDR3 | Posted on: 25/01/2009 @ 22:09
Graphics card build is excellent and without doubt we can say that this is, so far the best Radeon HD 4850 that we had in our hands and test lab. Power section is one of the best that we saw so far, cooling solution is very efficient and it doesn't take up too much space (single slot). Fan on this graphics card is larger than fans that we used to see on most Radeon graphics cards.

As with all HIS videocards I have reviewed in the past, this product pulls through and does exactly what HIS intended it to do.
