Netflix Customers to Begin Paying $9 More for Blue-ray

If you want Blu-ray movies and are a Netflix customers you will soon begin paying up to $9 more a month for the service according to Jessie Becker, VP of Marketing at Netflix. Becker explains that the number of titles on Blu-ray has increased significantly and the costs to obtain these new titles is much greater than those in DVD format. Netflix Blu-ray selection has grown 60% in six months to include over 1,300 titles. "Were committed to providing a high quality Blu-ray experience for our members who choose to add Blu-ray access, and in order to do that we need to adjust Blu-ray pricing. As a result, the monthly charge for Blu-ray access is increasing for most plans and will now vary by plan." Jessie Becker said.
