Gateway P-7808u: to Quad or Not to Quad?

Following in the tradition of the P-6831 and the P-7811, the P-7808u FX is the latest "affordable gaming" laptop from Gateway, only it's not quite as affordable this time. Are the quad-core CPU and other upgrades enough to justify the price hike?...
