According to sources close to Amazon (AMZN), the company plans to unveil a new larger screened Kindle this Wednesday, May 6th 2009. A news conference was recently scheduled by Amazon for Wednesday at 10:30 AM in NYC at Pace University, which coincides with the launch date. The Kindle 2, currently avaliable from Amazon.com, is great for reading novels but a larger screen could prove to be beneficial when reading newspapers, periodicals, and larger format books. Color is one feature that has been missing ever since the first Kindle was released and users probably won't find it with Kindle 2.5 (as I like to call the larger Kindle) but we may see a color capable screen with Amazon Kindle 3.0 later down the road.
