In the past with Windows XP and Windows Vista, Microsoft had released a Windows "Starter" version of it's operating system but it was severely limited and was a stripped down version. It was only available to third world countries and it also contained application restrictions; only allowing you to have three third-party applications (Not native to the OS) running at any given time.With Windows 7 Starter edition, Microsoft has changed many things. Customers have been asking for a cheaper alternative to Windows for Netbooks where they usually only use the device for surfing the web and basic typing. Microsoft's answer to this is Windows 7 Starter.
