Last Friday Apple announced it's newest browser, Safari 4 for Mac OS X and Windows, and to date it has been downloaded more than 11 million times.The Safari 4 Beta was released earlier this year and was taunted as being three times faster than Firefox. Safari 4 is the first browser to pass the Web Standards Projects Acid3 test, which examines how well a browser adheres to CSS, JavaScript, XML and SVG standards that are specifically designed for dynamic web applications. The browser also offers many new enhancements and improvements such as full History Search, to search through titles, web addresses and the complete text of recently viewed pages; and Cover Flow, to easily flip through web history or bookmarks.
