Official: Microsoft Windows 7 Launches October 22nd Microsoft officially said its latest operating system, Windows 7 would be available to the general public beginning October 22nd 2009, well ahead of the "holiday shopping season" they originally said. It also happens to be only one day earlier, than we originally was informed by manufactures.
