Palm Appoints Jon Rubinstein CEO

Palm Inc. today announced Jon Rubinstein, a former Apple Inc. executive, as the new CEO for the company. After the closing Bell on Wednesday, the former CEO Ed Colligan stepped down from the top spot in the company.Rubinstein worked in Apple's iPod division as a senior vice president and left his position in April of 2006. Rubinstein then joined Palm and became an executive chairman of the board at Palm in October of 2007. He has previously worked with HP, Ardent Computer Corp, and NeXT.
