Are you a skywatcher? If you are, or even if you aren't, you won't want to miss the annual Perseid meteor show this Wednesday August 12th morning from about 1AM - 3AM EST. The Perseids are known for bright meteors so the somewhat bright moonlight should not affect viewing on Wednesday morning. Another great thing about the Perseid meteor shower is the number of meteors produced per hour, which is between 50 to 80. The Perseids is a shower associated with the Swift-Tuttle comet. They are also called this because the point they appear to come from, called the radiant, also lies in the constellation Perseus.
