Twitter Down By Denial of Service Attack

The most popular microblogging site in the world was brought down to its knees early Thursday morning as the site confirmed that it was being flooded by a Denial of Service attack.They have not provided any additional information other than that "We are defending against a denial-of-service attack, and will update status again shortly." which was posted about 30 minutes ago.They also went on to provide an update that "the site is back up, but we are continuing to defend against and recover from this attack."
