What was once planned as a mission to return to the Moon by 2020, maybe not happen at all now if NASA doesn't get a huge boost in their budget. NASA provided information to the White House on Friday that concluded a Mars mission would be way to risky on the limited budget that they have to work within. The 2020 mission to the moon would take ten years of planning and developing new spacecrafts as well as $138 billion which NASA says was cut by $30 billion, making the mission too risky.
