This weekend I took the plunge and picked up a brand new Android phone: the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant. As usual, I instantly looked for something more to do with my new phone; I wasn't satisfied with the usual, mainstream applications. I craved for more, and was unable to fill that craving - until I discovered the world of rooting. Essentially the same thing as jailbreaking to iPod-users, rooting is the act of granting superuser (or "sudo") privileges to you, the end user. These privileges would otherwise be unobtainable.
